There was an OOC post called "warning", but since the board is down, I dunno what it said?

There's a comment in the Newsfeed post about it.
It was a post I made this morning to the "bad" version of the board before shutting it down. I made it because I was also seeing the "bad" version of the main website and wanted a message there for anyone who might be hunting for information... it shows up only on the news page of the "bad" version of TFN's site. It's just a warning that you've found an old "bad" version of the site and not to post or expect any updates.
The boards started resolving for me a few hours ago. You might try hitting F5 if you are still seeing the "board offline" messages.

well, it won't let me on, unless I have an admimn password. Refreshing doesn't help. And all F5 does on a mac laptop is turn the sound up higher. ;)
I'll just be patient.

Yeah, it may be a DSN propagation thing :(
On Windows, I'd say hit the control key and click the Refresh button of your browser... the Mac equivalent might work.
or you could get a REAL computer :D

*laughs* No thanks, I think I'll stick with the superior machine for graphic designers and artists.
You /do/ know I'm applying to work at an Apple store, yes? *grins* The only thing I don't like about PCs is WinDoze, and that's just cause it seems like microsoft is only interested in working towards that lowest possible product release. I just don't like companies which try to cheat their customers.
But I like PCs. I just grew up with Macs. (and Macs are organized like I think, which helps).

Linux, baby! Power to the Penguin!

Time then :( sorry! I'll see if I can't get a firm explaination out of our webhost, but I don't think they can fix it. We had some server trouble yesterday around noonish, and the first reports of trouble came in a few hours after that, so I blame whatever-it-was that they had to do to fix the problem.
The good news is, once it fixes itself, it appears to stay fixed.

I still think they didn't actually move us when they said they would. I think we got moved yesterday after the server load hit critical and the problem is DNS lag.

Well, I can see the OOC board! Yay!
